Jackson Pollock Activity: After receiving a brief explanation about the artist, children will have a chance to observe his work and a brief demonstration by the teacher. Then the fun begins as each child gets to create their own painting on the circle as they stand above their canvas. This will all be done to specifically selected music that the children will learn about to help inspire their movements. They will be free to move about, explore, and have fun as they express their feelings through paint. Selected for this occasion. The teacher will be watching and supporting each child to ensure that the technique is well applied. During the second part of the working time the kids will get to enjoy the excitement of applying this fun technique to a large canvas that they will paint together as a group.
